I keep this blog for friends, family and students in Japan& the U.S.

Since Spring '07, Zen and Taka moved to California full time for Zen's basketball career. I'm in California most of the time right now too. Almost every day I go to help my Grandmom. She was born in 1919. Taka and I also get to work for Uncle Lynn's landscaping company. Santa Cruz, California. As beautiful as ever. However I still feel homesick for Japan~~

A few miscellaneous, random photos! xoxox

It's my NIECE!!! Jessie, or Jay she's called now! My little sister's daughter. Who's just about to turn 16 next week. She reminds me so much of my daughter Sheon in this photo!

And speaking of "growing things" (well...) I am growing SHISO!!! For salad, and our occasional sashimi.

So, life in California, in the U.S. is still hard money-wise, for lots of people. Yes, around the world, not only here. This is a recycling center in town. I can get about $20. for recycling all the cans, glass bottles and plastic bottles we accumulate in a two month period. Some people go around collecting bottles to make money . The college looking kids on this day, they were just out for summer holiday I believe, and trying to make a little money off all of their recycling.

This is one very cool looking house on the other side of town. It's so unique the City is keeping it, however... it's unbelievable homeless don't get in and sleep there.

It makes me think of Michael Jackson's Neverland in a way! (which is all in the news still!)

Yea, She is kind of Sheon-chan~.
Maybe I remember I have seen her in Ischin's album, maybe...?
And recycling custom is better than Jaoan, I think. It's good, huh~~

xecophoHey Kahori!!!

I MISS YOU!!!

Thank you for writing in response to my blog. Almost no one writes and that makes me sad. "Why am I doing this?" I think sometimes. But you help me remember- some people care and check, THANK YOU KAHORI!!

I hope you're well!

Yeah, you're right there, america is good that way, recycling to make money. Homeless and people like me who are "on a budget" appreciate being able to make those few extra "bucks"!

Take care Kahori, at least Japan DEFINITELY has the better HEALTH system compared to the US style! That's no question!!! xoxoxo Love~
